About the founder

Paulina Hojny started her adventure with painting in early childhood. She quickly learned watercolour, oils, pen and ink, pastels, acrylics from an accomplished art professor, prominent contemporary painter Marian Rak, who used to run with passion amateur painting classes fostering emerging talents. This initiative is the homage to the late mentor and his drive to give back to the society by providing access to highly skilled artistic workshops and public exhibition spaces to anyone regardless of their background.

By the time Paulina graduated from high school and attended university to study social sciences, painting was her favourite past time. She continued her education earning PhD in sociology, continued working in the field of databases and social statistics, started a family and put her painting ambitions on hold. It was only after a trip to a beautiful island of Malta that she felt inspired to paint again. Further journeys to Japan and Australia, observing ever changing seasons as well as marvellous play of light and astonishing clouds constellations, provided her with fresh inspiration for her work.

During one of such trips, Paulina made a promise to herself to never let go her passion again. Shortly after, several exhibition opportunities suddenly appeared. In the years that followed she has been working on her pieces, enjoying inspiration from nature, as well as the very process of painting in every free moment she has.
